Chaos Theory was the third game in the Splinter Cell franchise. I level designed the PS2 version of the Bathhouse single-player mission. The challenge was to port the mission from Xbox, add the PS2-only features (like Water Stealth Kill), and make the game as fun as possible within the PS2's considerable technical constraints, while aiming at a less hardcore audience. (And to do it in 6 months while the Xbox version is still constantly changing.)
The task requires a certain long-term patience and faith, because you know the hardcore players (including all your gamer friends) will snub it, but in the end it will be played by people who won't ever play the Xbox original, so this is their only experience of the Splinter Cell brand and gameplay (and to my mind, it may have far more female players). So, we took our responsibility to the franchise very seriously, even though we knew we weren't going to get much love from the vocal fanbase.
These screenshots are some nice ones from my map.
