We used concept art and production photos from the film to create an interface for the game that matched the mood and style. We also made some UI improvements from the previous game, based on observing sessions at Microsoft's playtest lab.
Here's an example of one of the puzzle screens. In this one you fill in the outline of a shape from the images at left.
Once you've solved a puzzle, you can use the game as a scrapbook to look at the images and objects you've uncovered. We organized the sections of the game based on parts of the movie.
