Thief: Deadly Shadows is the third in the Thief trilogy of games, which originated in 1998 at Looking Glass Studios. Our job at Ion Storm was to update the series and put closure on the storyline. Our mandate was to grow Thief's strengths and address its weaknesses, and transform it into a cross-platform pc/console game. I was incredibly excited to be able to work on a Thief title, having been a fan of the series, thanks to its amazing writing and sound design, in a deeply-realized world that allowed a fantastic melding of gameplay to character.
